Was out busking today and took along my GAD25 for a test drive...Very nice...sweet sounding such that I didn't want to play my 12 string near as much as this 6 string beauty.
Mind you, my 12er has extra lite strings on her and she has been sounding a wee bit thin lately. My next move is to put some regular lites on her and see what happens.
Anyhoo, that 6 string sure punched out the sound...great for finger picking and flat picking! Just keeps on getting better! :D

OK...finally put on the medium Martin PB SP's...Unbelievable! She's even deeper and louder now! The high end also picked up the punch I was looking for. Heavy strumming doesn't break up...For the way I play which is all over the map...mediums seem to be the best string gauge.
I was at a large guitar store today...all the new guitars (Larivee, Martin, Gibson, GAD Guilds) had light strings on them and the B string on all of them had a tinny twang to it when plucked/strummed medium hard. I am guessing that this is just a trait of light strings?
So now it will be play play play...no more experimenting until it's time for the next string change.
