Let's see now.....

We have donkeys, geese, & Lou Rawls on a "search and destroy mission."
(some things are just wrong!)

We have, in "Case" of fire, a ton of vinyl-covered plywood sitting around the house ready to light things up......not to mention the tone of woods to boot.

Is this thread a bad dream or what!

We have advise on relationships......"I'm never goin' to get married and I'm going to raise my kids the same way."

The Dems ran on how bad the Repubs were doing things. I guesss they thought that they could do things worse and are now out to prove it.

Did I miss anything?

Are you sure this thread isn' the Rosie Show??

I like that line, reminds me of this one

"We did not sell arms to Iran, and we won't do it again"

The advice on child raising reminds me of this trivia about Ben Franklin. He had two kids before he was married, and took them both to the wedding.

If I weren't married with kids, I'd probably have been chasing wild women around and have contracted an incurable disease. I wouldn't have any kids to have kept me with my employer for 27 years. I'd probably be dependent on some type of alcohol or chemical crutch, and would probably be living at the Salvation Army, skid row or dead!

Wives and kids have been my salvation, along with the Good Lord of course.

Now if he wants to bless me with some fine guitars..............well, that's HIS business. :D

Westerly, you just quoted my reason for living, and laid it out so well. I would be in the same straits as you without the Lord, then a good wife of 33 years, and the best son a dad could ask for.
