Wow, is that a fact? I believe though it was known as the Denver signature or something like that. Magnificient intrument either way. The Guild F612 was an 18" jumbo. John's wasn't the only one ever made but they are very rare. They were a custom order only for about 2-3 years.

Back to the subject...there is a guy over on rickresouce that actually worked for Guild in the seventies as an artist promoter.
He said they gave away guitars to artists, maybe one, two or three
depending on how famous,etc. No cash changed hands.
