What and unbelievable ball game!!! People are already calling the greatest series game ever.

Freese drops a routine fly ball and then makes amends with his bat (the triple that Cruz should have got on his horse and caught) and then the walk off.

Andrus absolutely blowed a sure force out at second late in the game and (sort of) redeemed himself by being on base when Hamilton connected.

Feliz throws 4 pitches in the 9th, 2 back to back fastballs in the same place at the same speed to Freese. Boom baby. Game not over.

Personally, I think the biggest snafu was when, with 2 outs, Washington decided to take Holland off the mound and bring in Ogando. The once starting pitcher has always been slow to start. Making him a reliever post season is certainly questionable to me. The guy has a history of walking the first couple of batters. Holland got the shaft and so did Ranger fans. Not only that, every time someone scored or got a hit or tied it up or made an error, I got another beer. :p You can well imagine the shape I was in at game's end. :?

Well I love baseball so much that I'm up for a game 7; looking forward to another classic, a Ranger victory. Heck, let's go with a complete game shutout.

Peace

Yeah, that game was a real nut-clutcher :D Now the Rangers know how the Tigers feel after losing 2 games to them in the 11th inning!

Still rooting for the Rangers though! Next game oughta be a doozy!

I was so wired after that game that it took a while to get to sleep!

Joe

Me too, and I was already up way past my bedtime. As I stumbled into work, five minutes late this morning, I stuck my head in the boss's office to let him know I'd be going home at 9:00 this morning. He looked up at me, bleary eyed and said "Man, did you watch that game last night?". I nodded and he started laughing. I asked what was so funny and he said "Me too, and I just typed a half page of the letter C."

A man's got to have priorities.

I'm just emotionallt spent after last night's game. To have TWICE come to within one pitch of the world championship and come up short! I'm afraid the Rangers will be emotionally spent too. And with Carpenter pitching, I think the Rangers have a tall order to come out with a win. I see the pitching and the momentum on the Card's side for tonight's game. It should be interesting, but either way, a class baseball team wins the championship :) .

The way it should be...7 games.

Good luck to both teams. Here's to the bottom of the ninth and a play at the plate for all the marbles.

You're a class act man :? . I do congratulate the Cardinals and their fans, the Cards played some great baseball and represented the NL very well.

The two best teams in baseball gave us a great Series. The Rangers pitchers just weren't up to the task tonight. Congrats to the St. Louis Cardinals.

+1. Great teams, great games, and a great series ... outstanding team and individual contributions. It'll make for high times at the Cards' spring training camp next year at Roger Dean Stadium here!

Hats off to both teams, what fun that series was! Game six was one of the best games ever.

I'm feelin' your pain, Westie. :(

Ah, not too much pain here Marc. The Rangers have given me some incredible baseball these past two years. No, they haven't won a world championship (yet), but they have been to the big dance the past two years. The Cards didn't make the playoffs last year, and the Giants didn't make the playoffs this year. The Rangers not only made the playoffs, but won pennants both years. I'm pretty proud of them and they've got nothing to be ashamed of.
