Geez... I'm not smart enough to put anything on my site!! There's a quicktime audio track on the home page... but that's it. It's hosted by Yahoo-- could they be adding some code that I'm not aware of???

Really -- I haven't added anything else... just a plain old website created in GoLive... by a MAC person -- I don't know enough to do damage!!!

Since it's only your home page that tries to add the active X thingy, I suspect it has something to do with the audio track....since I refused the download and it still worked....obviously not critical. Maybe it's something that's automatically included with whatever software is involved with the quicktime whateveryoucallit. Sorry, some techie will have to fill in the missing words....

I used to know a Carol from Minnesota - but she called herself Cay - surname Rinquist :) It was a long long time ago though and Minnesota's a big big place - so it won't be you

I play a few Irish songs myself - are you more into the jigs reels and polkas though :?:

Hey Jer, I know a gal in England named Beatrice. Do you know her?

She drinks tea and has red hair.

Think I might if it's Beatrix - can she balance a pint of beer on her nose :?:

JerryR,

Just wondering -- my husband is from Belfast and played in that band. Just thought you might have heard of them.

I may get over to England this year (on my way to Belfast). I'm fascinated by UK/British Empire history...

Our resident office rockchick Jennie has heard of them - says they were good 8)

JerryR -- glad Jennie thought they were good. Tell her hello from Henry Cluney. He and Jake were the founders of the band -- and Henry was the original rhythm player.

Of course, he plays strange guitars... they don't have "Guild" stamped anywhere on them.

The other day, he decided he should have an acoustic guitar (I must be having an influence). He went to the shop and came back with an OVATION! My Guild started to bleed.

A very belated welcome, Carol! Very refreshing to have some female blood here to keep things lively. I've always thought I could never be entrusted with the position as a church music director. I can picture myself going off the deep end and pulling a Charles Ives. I'd be lynched by the congregation.

Glad to have you aboard!

Thanks JP -- I hope a bring something new to the forum -- though I'm not a typical church lady.

I'm telling the guys here to go ahead and be themselves. My father was a 30-year Navy man AND I'm the youngest of four children -- and the only girl. I've cursed, been cursed at; learned to play football the day I took my first steps... and I can hit "the long ball" with the best of them! My grandpa taught me how to chew tobacco when I was six (I didn't really like it, but I couldn't admit that to him); and I drink Guinness and smoke cigarettes. But don't get me wrong, I am ALL girl when it comes to the important girl things!

So I hope you feel comfortable just saying what's on your mind...

Well folks, you're redefining "thread veer" with each new post. I've been watching this one with fascination fro welcoming a new member through political correctness to various ethnic bits to browser configurations to, now, laundry.

Just remarkable. If only Darryl were feeling better, the veer would become real swerve, and it seems as if the rest of you would be more than up for it.

Great reading as I sit in the Calgary airport waiting to fly to, of all places, Hamilton. And this while others are on their way to Arlington. Short end of the stick, I guess.

Carry on regardless. This one's just a rocker.
