Re: Today is
Thanks guys! I will be sure to document every little detail here
It's all happening so quickly, it's like a dream! hehe
Just two weeks ago, I had to pleasure to touch a
'74 S-100 at the local shop.
I didn't even plug it in, but didn't have to. Got major GAS for it, and started scheming.
A smart LTG member advised me they want too much for it ($1300CND + tax). Thanks Qvart!
Now two weeks latter, I through in (what I consider) a ridiculously low bid not expecting to get it.
BINGO-BANGO-BONGO you are the winning bidder! Holly smokes!
It appears to be way better condition than the one at the shop,
and we share the same birth year! Wow!
Appears they are Grover Rotomatic tuners. Anyone got a cap lying around? hehe
Not sure about the pick gourd colours either.. The '74 at the shop has a clear one too.
I check my copy of Hans' book for ya, but no mention of it, sorry.
So far the seller seems awesome.. I think
she will ship it today.
Here is a quote from her reply when I made for packing requests:
(looks like she beat me to it!)
"Oh yes, I have soft but thick foam under the neck inside the case and big bubble wrap around the head, strings loosened but not too much - I'm sure you'll appreciate the packing job. There are no voids inside the case either. Styrofoam around the outer case should make it pretty shock-proof. ;-) "
