Anyone out there ever played an acoustic with Ziricote wood back and sides???
Yup have one .Anyone out there ever played an acoustic with Ziricote wood back and sides???
The age O’l argument . To me absolutely the back and sides matter .The back and sides do contribute at higher volumes. I guess the reflections come into play. I had a quick e-mail conversation with Kathy Wingert about guitar woods. In that email she said " I like the way Ovations sound, until you play them loud enough to hear the back. " or something very close to that. So, that's what leads me to believe the back and sides do contribute.

That's not the way members here exchange opinions. Clearly as example a F-30 Maple and a F-30 Rosewood and a F-30 Mahogany all sound very different. Having the exact same spruce top and bracing and lets say also the exact same hog neck. So the back and sides wood is not only about the look as you say.According to some members here this guitar should have played like sh!t.
