but he has really takin' to the Sax now. So I tuned it back to Nashville tuning.
That's my Stella! Seriously, that is the exact model an look of the guitar I started lessons on back in 1965. PLayed it for a bout a year before my teacher told my folks I needed to move up to something that could be played beyond the 3rd fret. The next step was a cherry red Harmony Rocket with two DeArmond Pups. Both are gone now... Sold the Rocket when I was in college, and gave my mom the OK to donate the Stella to the Good will a couple years back. Wish I had the Rocket back... but have no pinings for the Stella (my left hand fingers remember it all to well!).
Added: Not exactly the same after all. My Stella had a stamped metal tailpiece holding the strings, and some sort of one piece floating bridge... but the rst looks the same.
I've got that little Stella playing really easy now but it is just too big a neck for my daughter so I bought her a baby Taylor which has a neck that feels like an electric.
I like the Stella for noodling around on I even have the original case...I'll probably hang on to it.
Hey Christopher, Great Pic!
