Just came across this pic of Tim Hardin, one of my favorite singer / songwriters of the '60s / '70s. (His Verve albums are near perfect.) Another guy who never made it to 40. Never seen him with anything other than a Harmony Sovereign (as I noted about Mance Lipscomb, above!) but here he is dropping cigarette ashes on a Guild dreadnaught of some kind.

I remember when Stewart was using that guitar. It was brought to my attention when I worked at Guild. I don't think there was ever any talk of signing him to an endorsement deal. I do remember Neil Lilien blowing them off with some rude comment. He was a jazz fan, and regularly dismissed rock players.
