I have the same question. Birds now come with walnut? Stolen from the J-15's success?the Hbird should be hog back and sides. Walnut?
Had one, think it was a early 2000s model. Sweet sounding and playing guitar. If the walnut is putting you off, look for an older one with mahogany back and sides. If I were to purchase a Gibson Hummingbird?

Oooh, love it with the plain tortoise pickguard - Looks essentially like the Sheryl Crow model, and at $2499 in full nitro gloss, the price seems quite right. I had a walnut J-15 & thought the tone was a nice mix of maple & mahogany attributes.
