Just discovered it a few weeks ago. I love it! Have won in two words three times so far.

I do it about 2-3 times a week. Another forum I'm on has 27 pages of member's wordle results. If you click on "share" after a word is solved, it shows your results without giving the word away. (spoiler free) So far I've been 100%, w/ the majority of solved words in either 3 or 4 tries...several 5's, and one-two times on the second try.

They key is your opening word. I use the same one every time. It has 3 vowels and 2 very common consonants. Gets a hit just about every time, if not several.

I did it daily for a few months from last December to maybe March mainly to keep my 100% score. I stopped after I was not able to guess a word. Btw English is not my first language. Surprised it is still popular.

I just tried it for fun - english is harder than finnish - while I got the right word on 5/6 - it was something I never heard before.
Learn a new word a day - forget two . . . :)

We had a fairly competitive family group chat that went on for months. Each of us lost interest after the first time we couldn’t guess the word. We had a good run, but we all think too highly of ourselves to allow such failures to be public to the rest of us. :)

There’s also a very cool mini-crossword by the NYT that’s worth checking out. It times you and that was also great fun for the competitive nutjobs in our house. I used an ap for that one, but I also recommend it.

I used to love the game Mastermind as a kid, so Wordle was instant fun. Got into it for a little while, but returned to crosswords, which my wife and I love to do.

Yep.

Every morning with the first of too many coffees.

I got my elderly mum into it which is great. She lives alone so when she does it and shares here score each morning my sister and I know she’s ok. Plus it keeps her thinking.

I'm on a break from puzzles. Daily, I was doing Wordle and Dordle and the newspaper's cryptrogram. (My wife does the daily crosswords and sudoku.) Weekly, I was doing Numbrix in the Sunday local paper, the New Yorker crossword, and the Sunday New York Times crossword, honeycomb, and some other word games that aren't weekly, like their acrostic and their puns and anagrams puzzle.

I realized it was just eating up too much time. So about a week ago I cut 'em all out. Now I just have to unhook myself from a few more online forums. (I've stopped visiting two. That leaves Let's Talk Guild and www.tdpri.com.)

Saving graces: Can't do the Harper's Magazine puzzle. Too dern hard. That saves me many hours per month. Not often interested in number puzzles: another time saver. And don't have a cell phone. How many hours of my life has that saved me?

Now — how much time have I spent writing this pointless ramble? Don't tell me!

Everyday
And play Johnny G. in games he makes up. So far we have played a complicated basketball and football game.
Another friend, I play "golf" against on course we both know from memory. We finished our 3rd 18 holes round today and start final round tomorrow. He is wearing me out! Actually, a fun game!

I enjoy both Wordle & Quordle. Wordle only takes a minute or two, and I usually get the answer in three to five tries. Rarely fail in six tries.

But Quordle usually takes me about 5 - 10 minutes, and I complete it successfully only 7 or 8 times out of 10.

My wife likes to do the NYT mini crossword first, and use a word from that puzzle as her first Wordle guess.
