I live in the Piedmont section of North Carolina. Up against the foothills of the Appalachians. When you think of North Carolina you don't normally think of crazy weather, but crazy it is. I guess I'll take it over constant snow on the ground. It was 68 degrees 2 days ago and today the winds began to howl and temps dropped as snow began to fall. Then the sun came out. Boring it isn't ! I grew up in Conn. and never gave much thought to winter. Seems as we get older, the cold seems to get colder. I feel for everyone who lives thru harsh winters. My friends growing up are all carpenters. A hardy group. My hands get chapped just thinking about it.

Here's to warmer days, new songs and old songs, and some fresh new licks on your favorite Guild :excitement:

Here, working and making a little bit of trouble. Rehearsing with two bands, chasing tones and instruments around. All is normal.

I check in here daily. With only one Guild in the house (unlike some of you doggies), I don't have a whole lot to say.

Yep, welcome aboard!
Are you a John Barth fan, by chance?
Or was this tune your first exposure to a Guild guitar?:

I'd say yer impeccable etiquette will take you far around here, but sometimes it just depends on what kinda mood various members are in that day...
Just remember there are 3 subjects that are absolutely off the table and thus we only skirt their dangerous edges a few times a month:
1: Politics,
2: Politics,
and
3: Politics.
Also sex, religion, climate change and Chinese-built guitars.
None of the last 4 topics have nearly the morality corrupting potential of the first 3 however, and so sometimes we even discuss the merits of Chinese built guitars..vehemently....

Howdy, Thankyou all for the kind welcome. Shoot!!!! I think I'm in trouble already!! no politics, sex, religion. generic brand guitars!. Thanks Mr adorshki for posting smellycat, only saw it once on friends, going to sing that to my little grandson, only last week he said "It's hard to play guitar and sing at the same time poppy",I think he was trying to tell me something!!! me and Pheobe would make a good duet. I am a John Barth fan, he is a good writer for a tragic jazz drummer ! It was a toss up between smelly "goat boy" and "someone the sailor" for my handle. When I get to post photos I'll show you my 1988 T250 and 1987 Liberator Elite, bought them from my good friend Jerre R Haskew.I think Jerre is selling a Guild bass and some acoustics.
