I read a post recently started by Joe (Killdeer43) on the amount of postings here. First, I think this is a great crowd and I enjoy this site. I have been acquiring more Guilds. A 93 JF55 and a 2009 F30 Aragon with a spruce top. I buy them to play them and we all will look back someday and say "Jeez, there were some Guild bargains back in 2014"

Maybe one of the reasons traffic has been slow is people are preoccupied with making sure they have health insurance !

Life goes in cycles. I don't have an I Phone and I don't text. Mankind developed peripheral vision to see danger. I fear mankind will develop vertical vision. The kind that will warn them of oncoming street signs, fire hydrants, other obstacles right in front of them. Maybe people are getting tired of technology ? Nah !! That couldn't be !!

Don't ever get confused by my aloofness. To know me is to Love me.

Life has been a little crazy for me. Hectic. The one thing I rely on is my Guilds. 9 and counting, to take me away from all else going on !

I'm here, and we could talk about technology's often adverse effects on personal communications, etc., but not here. :tranquillity:

Play those Guilds,
Joe
We've talked and ranted about that subject many times. Feel free.

(just avoid politics and religion, please)

Was "a promise to my fan" a typo, kdavid? That made me laugh out loud! I've seen your videos, it's good stuff, I'm guessing you have more than one fan!!

I am in Natick Mass...... freezing

I will be driving through Natick on my way to Framingham this AM, heat cranked! As for technology, unfortunately it is not going away. My son had his 9th birthday last week, and aside from when they were eating two of his cousins (17 and 13) spent all of their time looking down at their cell phones. They are good kids, but don't have great social skills to begin with, which makes the need for them to work on those skills even greater.

I have not been around as much due to being busy with work and in preparing for a continuing education course I am taking in a few weeks. I am also studying to get my license to practice in another state as the cold, snowy winters of Massachusetts are getting old. I had always planned to move to Denver or south of Virginia by my 60's, but that plan was bumped up by at least 10 years, and I can't wait to warm up! You may be thinking Denver? Warmer? While Denver gets plenty of snow, it is also on average around 10 degrees warmer during the day in the winter, and often gets into the 50's for a high, so the snow does not typically last long, unlike in MA where the ground is completely covered for at least 3 months most winters. Denver is also a very sunny part of the country. Combined with nearby world-class skiing you have almost the perfect place to live. Of course, having temps in the 60's and above year round is very tempting as well!

I'm actually in Orlando, it's been nice outside and I haven't even seen the outside of this hotel room in days.

It's cold in western Mass. The wood pile is getting as low as the temperature. Doing a lot of noodling in E. Don't get me started on technology and social media. There was a great line in Big Bang Theory when the crew was lamenting the low wages in the science field, Bernadette said that the pharmaceutical business discovered a new disease and created a new cure on the same day......."Ka-Ching". Seems the same with new technology: a new need and a new gadget every day. Some days I just want to pull my hair out.

On a more positive note, I'm starting to look at major pentatonic scale patterns. And it's still cold. Don't Worry Be Happy.
