One of my very favorites is Clint Black's "Delectrified". Not only is it primarily acoustic music, but Clint does several duets with folks like Steve Wariner, his beautiful wife Lisa and Kenny Loggins. If you'd like to pick up and older CD with some fabulous music, give it a shot.

What are some of your favorite CD's.....why?

"Damnation" (1969 - The Damnation of Adam Blessing, 1970 - The Second Damnation) Both CD's (front to back) are unadulterated rock.
"Toni Childs" (1988 - Union) Makes my right foot tap.
"Paul Overstreet" (1990 - Heroes) Songs I wish I had written.
"Michael Johnson" (1995 - Departure) Mama and me dance in the living room.
"Nickelback" (1995 - All the Right Reasons) Both feet tap and mama and me are still dancing - with the dachshunds by now.
Abbey Road by The Beatles and Rocky Mountain High by John Denver - If you don't like either, I think your breaking the law.

I've gotta get that Michael Johnson CD.

So tough to choose just one, but the one that always comes to mind is

Muddy Waters- Folk Singer

WHY? Because it just doesn't get much better than Muddy Waters, a young Buddy Guy and Big Willie Dixon sitting around with nothing but 2 acoustic guitars and a standup bass wailing out the blues. Muddy's slide playing is exceptional on this one and it is some of the best acoustic work I have ever heard from Buddy Guy. If you haven't heard this album I suggest it as a must have.

Spooky Tooth........"You Broke My Heart So I Busted Your Jaw". :?

Just kidding. I really can't think of a favorite album/CD but Nitty Gritty's "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" is right up there.

All of John Denver's music.
Depending on my mood, my favorite changes.
John's music has been a major influence in my own music and in my life in general.
Not so much his politics but definitely his music.

A sleeper CD that I absolutely love is by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Will The Circle Be Unbroken Volume II.
If you haven't heard it, do yourself a huge favor and get a copy.

But most of you guys aren't saying WHY you enjoy the music you listen to?

The Clash - London Calling - Because they're the only band that matters.

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique - There's no other album like it. Unbelievable collaboration with the Dust Brothers. Check all the samples/references here.

Clutch - s/t - Because fortunetellers make a killing nowadays.
