The closest I got on a picture search was this on the left vs. what I was searching for on the right! A cast iron Moosehead bottle opener...

I had a similar tool to lift the grates, but the middle tine is offset to go under the grate and the other two go over

I loved that show!

My hypothesis is that it's an ancient tool used to remove the endpins from acoustic guitar bridges way back in the days when guitars were also made of cast iron.

I still say grill remover. Maybe from the great Hibachi craze of the 1970s. Either way this is a lot of work for a pack of strings!

I agree that it looks like it belongs with a Hibachi from the ‘70s but I don’t see how it would possibly work.

Maybe from the great Hibachi craze of the 1970s.

But all those tools like from Kinuura Yaki Kamado had 2 outer and a different level middle tongue to lift a grate. (and it also served as bottle opener)

A serious attempt - a farmer's tool for planting seeds or small seedlings - 4 holes made at a time. The only thing is it seems perhaps just a bit small for this.
