My local(1 hour away) guitar shop has this laying on the desk with a note stating if you can figure out what it is you get a free set of strings. I figure with the VAST audience here at LTG Nation, SOMEONE will have the answer.

Seriously, are there any context clues? Is it related to music?

None. He found in a guitar case years ago. No one through the years has had an answer. He has no idea himself. BTW, he is an old school LTGer. Has even bought parts from Hans! I’m trying to get him back on line

It looks like it's cast iron. Is it? Or is it plastic?

Cast iron.....? I thought it might be some kind of tool.
From someone who has spent his entire life around tools -
I'm totally stumped

I think it's a camping implement. Used for lifting a heavy grill off a campfire. I bet the guitar was a beater.....Used for camping!

No way to pick anything up with the tines facing forward, would have to be at 90deg angle

I saw a cast iron grill with a very similar tool on Amazon. It wouldn't let me copy the link correctly. And the tool was straight. Being cast iron makes me think cooking, grill..... Most likely not strong enough for a working tool.

I had a similar tool to lift the grates, but the middle tine is offset to go under the grate and the other two go over
