There is a video with that exact guitar and it shows 1968. Not sure if we saw the label or S/N before as she was sold by his estate on ebay in 2013.

Wow, thanks for that video Ralf. I noticed that guitar with interest as soon as it was listed back in 2013 but I had just bought my F40 so I let it go. I've wondered about it ever since. It looks like it found a good home with this man, Deacon Rice. I've got screen grabs of the original auction. Maybe this story deserves its own post.

Pall Malls. I used to smoke them way back when. Pretty tasty.
Not as harsh as Camel filterless.
I think I preferred Lucky Strike filterless however...

Great version of “Friend of the Devil”. I like Deacon Rice’s flat picking style on that song. Also, he includes an additional original verse at the end that you don’t often hear being sung.

"Please note these collectibles are not suitable for smoking."

As if they'd ever been suitable for smoking.
When I went to buy my wife's wedding ring back in 2005 at an antique store, I used all my $ in savings and bought it and she still really likes the ring.

anyway, I noticed a pack of unopened Camel filterless from the 50s for $25. I almost bought it. And I would have lit one up too. Glad I didn't! lol. That would've been 50+ year old tobacco, but the pack was still in cellophane wrap. But I dont think cigs are like twinkies.
