US half-dollar guitar picks

I'm sure glad I bought mine a few years back when they were about $20. I have 3 90% silver half-dollar picks and 1 quarter from my birth year. Awesome tone from these picks - acoustic, electric, mandolin.

I'd be afraid of damaging my guitar with those. Then again, I don't use picks anyway.

I mostly finger-pick, but when I want to use a flat pick, I do like Sir Brian May and Rev. Billy Gibbons .... English silver sixpence and Mexican silver pesos

According to Billy Gibbon's guitar tech, he's never seen him use a Peso.

Brian May, though is verified truth. I even have a tube of them for my review that might someday be done.

Well, I missed that subtlety as well, and the only reason I didn't find previous references was because it was half-price growler day at my favorite local brewery and I was not going to delay my trip.

I maybe wrong but I seem to recall some discussion about how to make them, not how to buy them so I don't feel I have missed the point if the only reason for posting was a change in price.
