Does she currently play at all? I think I recall you said she has been wanting to learn? If that is the case, that F-20 will be one fine instrument to start off with! Please let us know how the presentation goes!
She can play some chords but that’s about it. I started this whole thing with her and our kids in mind because of the narrow nut width, but my smallish hands are loving the guitar as well…maybe I’ll have to get her something else… 😂
I’ll certainly keep you all posted on how the presentation goes. I’m faced with some logistical challenges due to our complicated move to Ohio. Our kids have been with her parents while we set up house, and the guitar is at my parents place. We are heading there now to pick the kids up and have a few different Christmas gatherings before heading back to Ohio, so do I give it to here at my parents place, or try to sneak it in the back of the truck for the ride home and give it to her ON the first Christmas in our new house?

I wasn’t going to say anything, but with no disrespect or anything, this thread has gone off the rails. The next update actually about the F-20 will be soon bill be giving it to my wife in a day or two or at the latest actually on Christmas.

Since the length and veer of this thread concern some folks, a new thread for the presentation might be a good thing?

Just in case there's no new thread:

Have mom and dad wrap it, in an unrecognizable box if possible. When you load up to go back to Ohio the package can be loaded with a verbal "don't open until Christmas!" Then on Christmas day a beautiful and thoughtful gift for your first Christmas and beginning of years of happiness in your new home. Guitar lessons around the Christmas tree! What a memory!

No, I'm not the least bit sentimental. Why do you ask?
