Ha, ha. As I'm scrolling back through, I don't see off hand where I mentioned that.... Soooooo, I might have actually forgotten to mention that before :ROFLMAO:.

:) But I was also tryin' to make it easy for you to expand on your and his experience by raising the questions. I might learn something myself!;)

Aw shucks, it's nothin'. I just said to somebody else, "It's just what we do 'round here".

alright now that all the hallmark holidays and one of the worst years on record are over, we can get back to whats important- geeking out hard on Guilds. so lets start this new year off right...can someone please provide hypothetical step-by-step instructions, to convert a satin finished S4CE to a glossy nitro finish- l like a real Songbird? as simple as polishing? or is sanding involved? or is it simply not going to happen? with my satin finished Gibson electrics, they gloss up for sure with play time, but only in the wear areas, not uniformly on the entire guitar. thanks for any info.

Reverb has no Songbirds for sale except for that ridiculously expensive X30. :(
...which is the first generation Songbird.

Still one in Spain from either 1995 or 1997 (not 2000): (can't read the 3rd last digit).

That's odd. That one is no longer showing up in my search. No matter, I'm looking for a 93-94 or a bargain on something earlier. I'm not interested in any that are '95 or later.

It has to do with your Region setting in Reverb! Some sellers say "only ships to USA" or "only ships to Europe" and if your location is set to outside those adds don't show in your results!

not sure If I have ever seen an amber one of these. got a photo??

opinions vary widely as to the value of these. some people have paid a lot. prior to that u could pick one up very cheap. Condition is everything...if it were 'excellent' someone would possibly bite between 1,200-1,500 or so; that is certainly on the higher end. if it is more like good/vg cosmetic condition, I could sleep at night if I got $800 for it (if I got $1,000 I could also sleep in the afternoon)

good luck!
