Way back in the 80's I had a late 1950's thin line Gibson ES-125 and since I was a young rocker I really had no use for a hollow body that squealed like a pig when played at stage volume. Even though they were low end guitars for their time I now wish I had kept it since I paid $150 for it.

Anyhoo, I have not seen or played the newish Guild T-50 slim, but since it reminds me so much of my old Gibson I find myself interested. Has anyone played or owned this model? I do wish they offered a 2 pickup version but I'd love to know what you folks think. Thanks!

Thanks. For some reason these threads did not appear when I did a search.

I really like the T50 Slim. It has a great feel and sound.
If you are looking for more versatility with that great thin hollow body sound you might want to look at the Starfire II or III.
Great thing about the T50 Slim is it has great unplugged sound too.

I started one of those threads. I love mine and I play it through a Blues Jr IV and love the tone. It is surprisingly loud unplugged. There are a few on Reverb right now at good prices ($700+) assuming they aren’t factory seconds. Super light and remarkable craftsmanship.

just picked up a 1964 T50. I find it to be very versatile.....jazz, blues, and even yes.....rock n roll. It will be my main electric....and I own a Les Paul and a fantastic Telecaster.
