Showing my age
Jeff - It was indeed Ruth Buzzie and the old geezer on the tricycle was Arty Johnson. Laugh-In was the Saturday Night Live of its time. The repertoire cast included the hosts/comedy team of Dick Martin and Dan Rowan, Goldie, English commediene Judy Carne, Henry Gibson (the flower poet), Joanne Worley (sort of the neuvo-Kay Ballard 'loud mouth'), and frequent entertainment (Flip Wilson, Elliot Gould, Johnny Carson) 'non-entertainment' world notables (like politicians and business execs, like Barry Goldwater) the hip and happening thing to be on - usually uttering some of the Laugh-In laugh tags: You bet Your (sweet) Bippy, Here Comes the Judge, I Didn't Know That, "Ver-r-r-r-y Interesting!", Sock it to me, and others that have become part of the vernacular. Wow! Talk about a flood of memories rushing in. Maybe I didn't actually survive the 60's/70's after all. Perhaps I'm just a pasted together casualty who hasn't learned to fall down yet.
....but did I enjoy myself? You bet your sweet bippy!
