HI all

New workshop build video up on YouTube.

Episode 4:

Hoping that each vid is getting better but I know some narration would take them up a notch. Maybe in the next one.

Lots of prep work (cleaning, painting) makes it seem like not much is happening, but that foundational work is so important that it will be worth the time spent. Great job!
Thanks GG. Let’s hope it’s not for nothing.

Hi Everyone

I've just posted episode 6 of the workshop build.

Should be a fun one this, as I'm moving some pretty big machinery and units up onto a mezzanine. Luckily everything went well.

Thanks once again for your support and encouragement.

More progress! My back hurts just from watching. Have you done any scootering around on the pallet jack? Hard to resist.
I can't confirm or deny! :)

I really want a scissor jack. A mini one and a big one for sheet goods. I always find myself thinking "uh I wish I had a scissor jack" then I look them up and go "hmm do I have £3K"?

Rinse and repeat.

Hi Rich, great to see it taking shape! Let me know if any of mine are useful for research! Looking at the lower end of a manufacturer’s price band, I have a ‘62 CA100 that might be really interesting to think about, amongst the fine high end guitars you have. Let me know if you ever fancy a trip to Suffolk. Best from me. T

Hi T

Thanks for the offer and the chat. I've got you in the back of my mind. I was going over to Holland to scan some D'aquisto's but that's been put on hold for a minute. I was going to contact you and see if I can book the entire trip in one go, so come up to see you on my way back through Dover.
When and if that gets back on track, I'll give you a ring.

I'd love to scan your A500, your x330 and the CA100 is a good shout too!

I think if you're going to build a guitar that plays itself, the Hoboken/Westerly platform, is no better place to start.

Thanks once again.

HI All

New Episode of the 'New Workshop Build' is up.

I gad to take a weeks break from posting due to work load.

I'm hoping by the next episode I'll be up to date. This means I can start posting more directly related guitar content.

I'mm looking forward to firing the CNC back up!

More progress! I don't believe I've ever seen anyone vacuum a concrete block wall before. :)

Agreed lol

I get one chance to clear the remaining paint dust out from the last company and as you can see, it was everywhere.
No doubt it will have gotten into or onto the bricks.

I used to spray new builds and spent some time on dusty building sites.
Always helped the paint to brush the wall off and that’s plaster or board.

Hi all

Sorry I’ve not posted for a month. I've been plodding away through the chaos. Things are really starting to take shape.

Here is Episode 8 of 'The Workshop Build'.

Episode 9 will be coming in a few days and then everything will be to date.

Hi All.

Not sure this is of much interest but was on my way to buy a pillar drill and on the way back, popped into Axminster tools. They're a UK based tool and machine seller. I was looking for an extractor for my CNC machine and some sanding equipment.

Here is a video of the shop.

Hi all

I've just finished Episode 9 of the workshop build.

I had over 100 hours of footage, it has taken me 4 days to edit but everything is now up to date.

If anyone has any ideas about style or what they might like to see in future videos (more Guilds!) then let me know.

(there is actually a DE400 in this one:))

The ductwork assembly looked challenging, but you prevailed. :)

Thanks GG. It was probably the most challenging part of this build so far.
I almost wanted to jack the whole thing in lol
