I agree. I hate it being dark still at 730am in October.I work east coast hours so I might be the only one who is stoked!
Yes, this. Exactly.Staying light later into the evening meant that after work I could still get outside for a brief bit and take care of some chores. Now I can only do that one the weekends.
Good thing you are not in Finland...midight in summer is about like 8 o'clock (meaning its that light out!), maybe earlier here, winter its sundown after about 2!
EXACTLY what our cat is telling us...from a guy that sleeps about 18-20 hours a day, getting up only when he perceives its "snack time!"
It was tried before, and people hated it. Standard time was done away with in December, 1973. The nation went on daylight saving time full time. In January, the sunrise in DC was 8:27am. By August, there was enough of a public uprising to go back, and a bill was introduced in Congress to reinstate the time change. The only really good point regarding keeping the DST time change is tantamount to keeping the English weights and measures vs. going metric... It's always been this way, for folks who are alive today, and thus all the signage in the US is based on it. Speaking as president of a club, I'm in favor of it because of the signage. Speaking as an individual, I've always thought it's dopey and would love to see it dropped, but it's not going to change in my lifetime, so I live with the feelings of Tom's cartoon.
Yes, this. Exactly.
