My wife and I just got tested this morning. We both believe we are negative as we have had no symptoms. A person I work with at the office tested positive so we figured it was time to make sure we're in the clear!

It tickles!
Most people, it's asymptomatic. That's the big problem. If I test positive, there was no one in work that was showing symptoms. We had one guy out that tested positive, but he wasn't feverish or coughing.

This is a data-rich and easily navigable site I've been watching for a few months

Have also read there may be several different strains of COVID-19.

I've been using https://globalepidemics.org/key-metrics-for-covid-suppression/

Short version - it's the site my church will use to declare that indoor services are safe to resume.

The thing about a virus, it has no DNA, only RNA, so its only means of replicating is to hijack a cell that has DNA. That introduces variability into the viral "reproductive" process. Why influenza vaccines need to be adjusted periodically for new "strains".

That's what I just heard on the news here, too.

Can't get tested here under insurance unless I'm exhibiting symptoms. Alternative is one of the pop-up free testing sites, but waiting for unknown period of time in car, at a "moment's notice", isn't realistic for me (the vertigo med is a diuretic).

This county was the original NorCal epicenter, kept it under control pretty good compared to a couple of other Bay Area counties and especially LA region, and I live right in the heart of it.

County just went back on mandatory stay-at-home and closure of non-essential businesses again, before the state would according to their stats, all based on emergency care "bed" availability.

This place sure helps.

Well of the three people that I could of had contact with they all shared the same symptoms. So I am assume I would as well.

You could just be a carrier. I have a 110 appointment today. I have symptoms, but they are also the same symptoms I get from my normal upper respiratory illnesses.
If it isn't, I get antibiotics and get back to work sooner.

Results back, just last year's plague. Going up tomorrow to get documentation and a script for meds that I should have started Tuesday.

Glad to hear it buddy.

BTW, years ago a doctor explained to me that my "green grunge" bronchitis occurred when a virus got started, providing a great environment for bacteria to breed as well. HIs suggestion: as soon as I suspected onsetting symptoms, take Sudafed, the straight pseudoephedrine no adders. Dries the bronchial tubes so the bacteria can't get a foothold.

Worked a few times for me, in case that's the problem.
