So tonight marks my last full day of isolation due to being tested Covid positive. Get to go back to "normalcy" tomorrow.

I feel really bad for my wife, she busted her hump to get the bedroom all set for us when we moved into the new house 2 weeks ago and then she had to relegate it to a sick room.

She's been worried sick as my daughter had a fever over 103 last weekend, (Covid positive), and her underlying asthma has her scared but her results came back neg today. Daughters fever dropped within 12 hours and she's fine!

Daughter has had to suffer the loss of all parental interaction the past few days....supported only by her friends she is in touch with on line and unlimited access to the web with no chance of us barging in on her .....I've enjoyed the laughter coming from her room!!! :)

So...we're doing good. All 4 dogs and the cats are settling in to new home. "Puppies" spent time with me today for first time as wife read they really can't catch it at this point in my cycle. Boy they got big

I have a worse than usual sinus stuffiness but no fever in over a week. All the pain I assumed came from moving our home is gone...I felt like every joint had been slammed with a 2 x 6!! Was certainly a symptom of Covid. If you feel different/bad get tested!

Walking around a bit today inside kind of dizzy...sinus or lack of circulation who knows...but it got better.

Sense of smell?? Probably sinus related but meh...

House humidity is only 24% I can hear the bridges flying off the guitars downstairs

Taste?? Not really sure but feels like some loss as well. Which based on the fact that my wife is making meatloaf tonight may be a good thing!!!! However I really don't enjoy the small drams of bourbon I've had over the past week.....2-3 times is all...something is certainly off. I may go for a crisp IPA tonight if she asks.

She brought in some home made Beans & greens earlier with a nice crisp white.....frikkin' restaurant porn, should have taken a picture......but I had no interest in the wine. Sumthin' wrong!

Been laying here with my old Madeira A-2. It fell off the bed twice over the past week. Thank you...floor is fine! What a beast...but really a sweet sounding small bodied guitar.

Getting edgy nervous about re entering tomorrow. Way behind and not a ton of energy to catch up!

where's that IPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just left the clinic about 2 hours ago testing positive. About drove me insane waiting in the hot waiting room, I was ordered to quarantine for 10 days.

So tonight marks my last full day of isolation due to being tested Covid positive.

Glad you're on the mend.

There is some evidence that people with asthma are less likely to get Covid but it is not clear if that is because of some biological thing or because they take the precautions more seriously.

Which IPA?

I wonder if, the next time LTG folks get together in person, we should have a beer swap? Everyone brings a six of a local or regional beer and leaves with a variety pack :)

No clue. My wife was an absolute nut job in the beginning back in March, I wasn't as concerned but starting mid summer I really protected myself...Ironic I guess.

I followed all protocol, caused a little drama in the office when it got a bit lax so I really can't say how.

County folks said don't be embarrassed, it happened.

We really did the correct protocol my wife knew how ticked off I was to have it hit me as I was being responsible.

Oh well

My prayers are with you and yours, Beecee.

It's gettin' scary out here. Most recent stats say 8% testing positivity rate in my county. That means 8 people out of every 100.

Let's see, I live in a complex with 190 units, at least 3/4 of which have at least 2 occupants.

By my logic, that means at least 16 people in this complex are likely to be ""carriers".

It starts to hit home.

Be careful out there, people.

You guys take care of yourselves as best you can!

I'm thinking an ice-cold IPA or three would not be a bad thing.

Another unforeseen side affect, Covid makes guitars fall off the bed. The sound of an acoustic crashing on a hardwood floor really is heart rending...

Jameson's in homemade apple juice with frozen strawberries here.

Ot alternately Vodka in Apple/Grape.

Can still taste and smell. All good.

Anything antiviral you can ingest is beneficial. People that are super at risk of not making it have way higher viral loads that people who survive.

Alcohol is antiviral, and still healthier than bleach ;]

I fell like a dummy, I could have had bourbon all week as it is stronger than Listerine and Listerine is touted as killing Covid in your mouth.

Boy that IPA was superb! You can only drink so much water coffee etc. Don't do soda.

So I'm here at office, serious Covid "fog". Very dizzy driving in...but not so bad that I felt like I should have pulled over.

Walking around a lot trying to counteract the 7 days lying on my butt in bed.

I can feel me getting a bit more focused so I think I'll do a nice long walk tonight....mid 20's...gonna feel good

I feel for you all. I am waiting for the call from the urgent care for a test today. I know that if it is positive, I picked it up from one of my coworkers, just which one, idk. We have a lot of people that are in denial. Hopefully, this turns out to be just a virus or something I can throw a z-pack at.

My wife and I just got tested this morning. We both believe we are negative as we have had no symptoms. A person I work with at the office tested positive so we figured it was time to make sure we're in the clear!

It tickles!

This is scary stuff!! I know at least 4 or 5 people who've had it and it was like a bad cold and 4 days later they were better, although they quarantined 14 days off work. I also had a friend who was hospitalized for 26 days!! Take care and I'll make sure and keep my alcohol consumption up just to be safe!!

A friend of mine age 71 got it pretty hard but never went to the hospital, but he's generally in pretty good physical shape. Funny thing is, his Mom got Covid, she's 94, she pretty much shrugged it off, no hospitalization and no big deal for her.

My nephew age 50 got it and it knocked him for a loop, and he is in excellent physical condition, a high school soccer coach. He spent a week in the hospital and is still recovering.

Me, I'm not taking any chances, I'm 66 and have several other issues; I don't want to add Covid to my reportoire.
