...but McD's and everyone else has to put warnings on their coffee cups?

What I cannot quite tell from this picture, does this car have a floor shifter? Clearly has an add-on heater...
Yup! you can see the shift knob in the picture between his two hands.

I think the shift knob opens up to dispense sugar!

They've got a pretty good grouping going on the tailgate punctures from the trailer tongue.

There are actually two (2) tongues on that trailer. The original black tongue is below the shiny new one. Looks like they slipped something through the latch atop the new hitch for . . . you know, safety.

Maybe they had a trailer ball that didn't fit the original hitch, and chose to improvise a solution?

YES!! And that top tongue has exactly ONE bolt to carry the weight and stress? What's wrong with the original tongue. Different ball size?? I've been lingering WAY too long over this one. Pulling the horse trailer was fairly straightforward, but we had an Ease-Lift in addition to brakes on the trailer with an emergency cable that would deploy the trailer brakes in the event of a disconnect. Never had a problem. Ever. Apparently they've had SEVERAL!!:eek:

Yeah, that juicer is a "pro-marksman" all right
Almost ashamed to admit that I know this, but before the NRA was a manufacturers' lobby group, they used to teach marksmanship skills. The "Pro-Marksman" badge should be interpreted as "pre-marksman" the lowest badge they offered. To get it you had to understand safety, and be able to hit the broad side of a barn with a .22 in a prone position at 50 feet with aid of a sling.

How long will that work before the place burns down? Are there really people who think that would be a good idea or was it just a photo op? Please say it was a photo op!

I can't quite make out what car it is, some sedan from the 1930s, but the floor shifter is that long curved thing coming up with the shift knob between his hands. Hand brake over to the right. They used to call it an emergency brake until the lawyers said that name carried an implied guarantee of safety. And yes, heaters were optional add-ons then.

That happened to us.

TWICE!

First, the exterminators were working in the attic above the garage doing a bat exclusion project and stepped through some pretty punky particleboard. In two locations They did pick up the repair tab.

Couple of months later we're adding insulation in the attic as part of an energy retrofit project and despite my warnings, one of THEIR crew goes through. Both feet.

I go to check on progress and this is what I see:

Ummm.....no....

They also picked up the tab for the repair.

Would it kill you to walk on the ceiling joists?????

The recent atmospheric river system over much of CA has brought out the sporting nature of some drivers:

We don't often get these opportunities in Silicon Valley, but when we do, we use a Mercedes. Preferably a dealer demonstrator with a sticker still in the window.

After watching a youtube channel where the guy disassembles car engines, and determines why they ended up in a scrap yard, all I can think of, when I look at the above Water-Merc, is hydraulic engine lock.
