I am looking at pictures of new Oxnard Guilds. I can't see a picture of a label inside the guitars, in any of the pictures. I remember all USA Guilds had a label inside, telling you what you just bought. Did they stop doing this ?? That's messed up, man.

It's on the neck block inside the soundhole

No, not messed up. Better. They do a laser-etched plate on the inside neck block, Steve.

True, but I kinda miss those handwritten model numbers on the old labels. I wonder if Hans has ever researched who exactly (at Westerly for example) wrote the model numbers on those labels? I can discern a certain handwriting on some of the labels.

With the labels , it was always easy to see " Made in ..." to see what city and country the guitar was made in. Now, you need a mirror.

My anecdotal observation is that people of a certain age or younger don't care where something is made. Many of us are just not under that age :) I will say I like the permanence of the etching and personally would rather use a mirror than worry about provenance if a label falls out or otherwise goes missing. IMO YMMV

…and if a label falls out or otherwise goes missing, you have the headstock stamp on the older guilds to reference.

Nah, you don't need a mirror. In the USA-made guitars, the information is etched on a wood plate attached to the neck heel block, inside, just like Martin has been doing for decades.

Automation...its good for consistency. Gotta wonder about some of those old Westerly hand-written labels, accuracy wise.

Not at all! Clearly marked with Model number, Location (C=California or CMG, not 100% sure how they exactly defined the C), Serial number, USA.

My Oxnard M20 has both a laser etched heel block with serial number, and a sticker right under the sound hole with hand-written model number. Maybe they changed it up since I bought mine?

As of 2020 the M-20 has both a paper label and a badge on the heel block. It's not clear to me why this is only done on the M-20 and not on the other Oxnard made models.

The no label was just about a deal-breaker for me, now I have to seriously consider.
