I saw them on Reverb from a Canadian dealer selling far above the MSRP. Even if in Canadian $, that's ridiculous.

IN STOCK?
I remember it came up just earlier this month (nobody actually had 'em yet) and I thought Valley Guy had legitimate rights to "first sighting of actual stock on hand..."
Was gonna congratulate him but realized at last moment it could be mis-interpreted as "snark" so kept mum at the time.

Considering that the guita in the reverb ad is over 800 years old (Year 1204 in the ad) $C2987.53 doesn't seem oout of line. Never knew that they had acoustic guitar pickups back then (Model is M20E, so I assume it has a pickup).

Where is History Television's Ancient Aliens, and why havent tthey revealed this yet?

These guitars are also providing a feature never before offered by Guild: a humidified hardshell case!

Because deciphering that date code will reveal when the aliens will return and they don't want to instigate mass global panic?
After all they do have a journalistic responsibility to their audience.

Canada .... brrr
I was at my luthier yesterday who is also the Region's authorized Guild dealer and I asked him if he had ordered any of the Oxnard models. He said he did and is waiting for them, but apprently they are having some difficulty getting the guitars into the stores. Not sure what causes the delays.

Lack of supply??
Also Merlin's in Canada so that might be involve additional logistic hurdles.
But yes one would think they'd try to get the instruments divvied up according to order date at least, if nothing else so that the dealers can't complain that a competitor's getting preferential treatment.
I note the store with inventory is in Santa Monica, literally within an hour drive of Oxnard and for all we know the owner might have driven up there and picked 'em up himself.
Either to save freight or out of sheer excitement or both.

I may be heading over to Macabe's this weekend to check out the M-20.

The Sunburst looks amazing in pics.

I was primarily looking for a traditionally folky/finger picky guitar, and I have been listening to a lot of 0-15, 00, and 000-15 Martins on YouTube. Though even in person Martins have always sounded a bit too warm and "crowded" for my taste, but the M-20 and M-120 have a more distinct sound. Actually the mid-century Martin 0-15's are pretty good, but a bit too much $$ or have a bit too much wear going on.

I initially stumbled on here and Guilds because of the Nick Drake (or not) connection, and regardless of him using this model, it seems that the M-120 is a good bang for the buck. If the M-20 is a "better" M-120 and cheaper than a comparable Martin then I might come home with a new guitar this weekend. ha.

Oxnard is 10 minutes away from me, but the local stores do not have the Oxnard Guilds yet. I do know one of the builders they recruited (Tracy Longo), and he does very fine work.
