I have an entry level Alvarez ABT-60 baritone guitar - I would love a Guild baritone ... but not an 8-string version ... 6 is enough.

I sold my Alvarez 6 string to help fund the Guild 8 string.
I'm very happy with my decission.
For me, the 8 string tames the muddiness that the y string baritone has.

I am interested in an 8 string bari. But this one is a Taylor. The Guild baritone 8 string are Chinese correct? The one I’m looking at has a mahogany top with Blackwood back and sides. I’ll check out the Chinese Guild.

Yes, the Guild BT models are Westerly series, Rich. I think they are both arched-back guitars.
