Hey, nothing wrong with "plain Jane." I love a natural top, especially in a Guild or a Martin, both have outstanding spruce tops. My D-46 is a perfect example- it has a gorgeous top. And you should see my Martin 00-18VS, very pretty.
But I like to keep one sunburst in the stable. I've had several, and that D-50 I sold to William (see above) was probably the best I've ever seen.
