OK, teaser time... I'm not ready to do a full spread on this lovely guitar, but I know you guys can't wait to discuss/conjecture/cajole/razz and in general piss me off with questions I can't answer yet. :)

Just kidding, folks. I am waiting a bit until I get my new Thalia TRCs in to do a photo spread, but say hello to my New Hartford-built GSR F-40. Carpathian spruce top with cocobolo body. The coco is straight-grained and I wouldn't know the difference from Indian rosewood, but when I get some pictures of that, you can tell me what you think.

Anyway, it's a super nice piece with a good low-end. This one stayed in-house in the LTG family (thanks, Richard).

Ignore the dust bunnies, please. :D :D

Nice! The no-pickguard look is cool! That's a great size - I assume a bit bigger than an F-30?

Thanks walrus. Yes, it is a very nice size. And, yes, I think the F-40 is bigger than the F-30. I'll post a picture next to my OOO Orpheum 12, which I think is roughly the same dimensions. -- not sure.

And, yeah, it's a little weird to see a Guild without a pickguard. Apparently it was supposed to come with a pickguard from the factory for a customer to put on, but Richard never got it, and I'm sure I'll leave it this way.

Stunning guitar Chazmo. And my favorite guitar to play and listen to has Cocobolo back and sides and that is comparing it to Brazilian and EI rosewood on two other guitars. Another happy buyer.

Congratulations Charlie! That GSR was always on my radar too. Default's GSR D50 is cocobolo too, and really sounds great, and I love the 16" lower bout size and curves of the F40. Play it in good health!

Hello !!! (y):) Congrats! Is that Chris Fleming's 007 ??? 😲

Yes, a little bit only.

NH F-30: 15.25" lower bout, 4.25″ deep at lower bout
NH F-40: 15.75" lower bout, 4.3″ deep at lower bout...or something close to it.

I owned this F-40 for a while after purchasing from Richard...then sold it back to him. I investigated the story about Fleming owning the guitar, but couldn't definitively establish it.

Thanks! So it's the one! Chazmo's picture above didn't do her justice...! I guess it's true that Chris owned that guitar from 2010 till he sold it in Prescott. There would be no reason for a store local to him making up such a story. Also that store sold other Guilds where he said he got them directly from Chris. Here's just one other example: https://reverb.com/item/3777820-fender-custom-shop-guild-bluesbird

^ Thanks, Ralf, guys...

Maybe I'll contact Chris and ask him about the connection here... I didn't know about that until now. I'll poke around with the mirror later and see if I can spot any signs that it was Chris' at some point.

Anyway, I'm very excited about it.

And, as I said, I apologize for the teaser on the photo spread. :) I knew you guys would give me grief. :)

Oh, and by the way.... confirmed that this is "007" I.e., its serial number indicates that it was the 7th to go through final assembly that day. Bond..... James Bond.... :)

I sense the oncoming "wood"-related jokes are coming... ;) But if I had to choose, god forbid, it'd have to be Carole Bouquet.

Hi gang, sorry I'm waiting for a new TRC from Thalia which is custom order. Anyway, it is a sweet axe. I will try to provide more detailed pictures soon when I do a full cleanup.
