So, I saw this pop up on Reverb and was likely one of the 1st to see it. Somebody also posted about it here on this forum.
The guitar arrived today and I was pleasantly surprised. The pics on the listing made it look like it had extensive checking which although I don't really mind (and in some cases even like) I wouldn't have wanted it on a guitar like this. I was prepared to send it to Tom Jacobs for him to work his magic. But, it is seriously not bad at all and in fact it's perfect for me. Plus, the guy accepted an offer I wouldn't have had I been selling the guitar. But apparently it worked for him and it did work for me so here we are. The only negative (and it's not really a big one for me anyway) is that he advertised it with a Guild Hard plastic/molded case. I've never seen a Guild case like that but it fits the guitar just fine and I do have an extra Guild branded case if I choose to switch it to that.
This one does not have the carved neck. But, I do have a 2nd one with a carved neck so it's all good. I love the Maple binding and the inlays on this model. The date stamp on the neck block looks like February 9th, 2000. The EIR B&S look really sweet. Overall, I'm a happy kinda guy.
