Beautiful guitar Paul. I don't have a camera so I can take any shots of my two new Guilds a 1974 F212 and a D-40 Ritchie Havens :D

Hi everyone, Happy Memorial Day! I took the Guild in Saturday for some set-up, a new bone saddle and a complete set of strings (all 12! :D ) it came out good! A few tweaks of the truss rod(s) loosened up the first few fret, as they had felt very stiff. The bone saddle provides a subtle change, being a bit more clarity, althought he new strings could be the biggest part of that change. Seems to like being tuned down 1/2 step, and sounds really good. Now if there were only time to play it! I've got a summer of classes (2) ahead to complete an undergrad degree that I began 20 years ago, so my time still isn't all mine, but it will be soon....
A question for someone here, I believe the back of this guitar is laminated, but I'm not sure of the sides...looking at them they appear possibly laminated, but I can't tell for sure. And is this the same construction as the D25-12?
Thanks again, and enjoy the Holiday!

Hey Paul, if it's arched back it's laminated.

Welcome aboard, Paul.

I posted recently about a friend who just got a new D-4 six string. I was very gratified to have influenced that purchase. Then, one of my partners in the trio I play in got all GAS'd up for a 12-string. I was ready to be further gratified and hoped he'd show up with a Guild, too. Sure wish he could've found a D4-12 like yours before he bought the Taylor. I was pretty disappointed. He's a Taylorholic, though he can't really tell me why.

Nice to have you here.
Post well. Post often.
