Years ago, we had the old service rep. that would call on us out at work. He was a constant braggart and he went on and on about all that he did well. He lived a few hours away in Houston. I was shooting competitive skeet at the time and mentioned it to him and he began to tell us that he was on the American Skeet Team and shot internationally. We listened with grins on our faces and after he left for Houton to return the following Monday, we laughed our tails off making fun of this idiot. He returned to work the following Monday with 8" by 10"s of himself and the American Team with their shooters jackets on in front of Buckingham Palace. Another shot showed his range scores on the scoreboard at the range in England, another from France.

From then on, I believed everything the man said.

I tried shooting skeet when I lived in Houston, but I gave it up. They're just too hard to clean and they taste like hell! :lol:

:twisted: I wasn't sure you guys in Mass. could still own a gun Chazzy? :wink: Just kidding. You should find a range around you and try it. It's an absolute blast (no pun intended). It becomes addictive. After you do it a few times and learn the tricks, it's really very easy. If you ever want to give it a shot (there I go again), let me know and I'll help you out.

I've used handguns and rifles in a shooting range, but never tried anything with moving targets. I'd love to "give it a shot!"

Tunes, don't feel lonesome, I wish I hadn't mentioned it either. I believed him at first, and wanted to share the info here. Then it got stranger than fiction. FWIW, I'm still callin' B.S. on the guy, don't believe he works for Guild, or knows jack squat about Guilds in general. He may or may not build guitars. If he says or does something in the future to convince me otherwise, I will step to the front of the line and offer a hearty handshake and heartfelt apology. Chalk it up to adventures on the interwebs. :?:

Well I have given Tunes both a public and a private apology........but now that you know how we relentlessly ride folks......you're in the game. And by the way Tunes, with Graham lurking, you might want to think twice about posting any pictures of yourself....Graham is the "Doctor of picture doctoring". He's made me look rather ridiculous in the past. Thing is, I've made him look pretty comical too, and don't have a clue as to how to doctor a picture. :wink:
