Mine had hydrolic Shocks Sandy, and the SU carbs were fine, once you got them in sync. which wasn't always easy, I used a piece of hose to listen for the air intake, and tuned them that way...Those were the days when I had my dog, my guitar and my MG...good times....not rich, but rich if you know what I mean... :wink: Steffan

Also had an MGA, Steffan, complete with handcrank. It was a blast to drive; held the driver's door shut with a bungee cord. Also had an MG Midgett that I autocrossed on occasion. Pics circa 1982; Fort Walton Beach, Fla...

Nice...did your hard top have the sliding plastic window on the door....or a crank...mine had the removable windows.. and the top that folded down behind the seat to give it that smooth look...

Crank windows. Hardtop coupe... 1/4 turn with the crank would start it every time; also had a push button start...
