Nothing new? Two Orpheum slot-head 12-strings with Adi tops! I also notice they dropped the F212XLCE. I thought the cutaway Standard Series guitars were going to be the ones they kept!

Were the Arcos 12-string and Jumbo there before? I don't remember them.

3 new "Arcos Series" models (Arcos stands for "arched-back" as they are MIM):

All 3 feature a Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Laminated Maple Back and Sides.

Appears the F20 is no longer available.

Why on earth would a guitar company with hardly any small bodied models discontinue the only traditional US made small bodied short scale guitar that they make? Guild should be doing more in this part of the market, not less. Not everyone wants a Jumbo long scale acoustic guitar. I will be VERY disappointed if this is true.

Because not enough people are buying them at the price they have set and they can make more money having the factory produce guitars people will pay a couple of grand, street price, for. And yes, I do answer rhetorical questions.

I think Guilds main problem is the almost total lack of advertisement for the brand as a whole. On top of that, I have never seen an ad for an F20. Not a single ad. By all indications the market for smaller bodied guitars is growing yearly, most companies are EXPANDING their O, OO & OOO lines. I love my D55 but I find myself gravitating more & more to smaller bodied short scale instruments. Have you looked at Guilds offering in that segment? Scarce to nonexistent. If this keeps up I may be forced to not even consider Guild the next time I go guitar shopping. I really hope that doesn't happen.

With many other guitar companies (smaller and larger than Guild) offering build to order guitars, it's becoming a lot tougher not to look elsewhere for my next guitar.

Well, that's a strange logic to me. First of all you own a wonderful 2013 Custom Shop F-20. You also own 2 other new Guilds. So I know you love the brand and invested heavily in it. But why would you not buy a Guild anymore in future just because Guild does not do enough advertising or stopped a model which you already own (at least one)? I totally agree what you say that I also think Guild should do more to promote the F-20 and other Guilds. But at the end they make the decisions which models run best and which not. Only we can influence them by buying more new Guilds (like you already did). And hoping one of their people read our comments here. If one wants a new F-20 now seems to be the right time of buying. I guess many shops will still have some to sell. And if they see how fast they sell they might ask Guild to reconsider the decision.

They've made some odd moves. Used to be the price difference between the F412 and F512 was $100. Now its $400. They raised the price of the 212XL to $3199, but left the G312 at $2799. Dropped the Standard Series 12-string cutaways, but added the Doyle Dykes signature. All I look at is the twelves, but it all beats me.

It looks like Fender is offering a "custom order" option on their electrics (see link)

http://www.fender.com/custom-shop/how-to-order/

Maybe Guild will offer this option in the future.

I hope so, as I find a 1 3/4" wide nut and a slightly wider string spacing at the bridge easier on my hands / joints. Guild's current offerings in this department is very limited. So I'm not abandoning ship on Guild, I'm finding it hard to find a new Guild that gives me the warm and fuzzy like my older F-30's. I just can't warm up to the Standard F-30 when the GAD F-30 seems to get the better visual appointments. What's up with that?
