I have seen Luca perform live. He has a very charming, outgoing stage personality, very Italian-charming. He is very much given to grandstanding. He is a much better showman than a guitarist, and he is a pretty good guitarist, well at least as far as doing his own thing is concerned. The audience
ADORED him!!!!
If you get a chance to see him, I would recommend going - approach it as an entertainment experience, though!
Tapping and using the instrument body as a drum are old traditional techniques. Flamenco guitarists have done this for ages. A lot of modern music written for classical guitar incorporates these techniques. However, there is a lot more to these musics than just tapping and percussing.
My Sharona ... a catchy little number but a lot like Led Zepplin with all the hard parts taken out.
