I installed a K&K Pure Mini on an Orpheum 12 fret SH MHO guitar, no qualms. Also, I recently took ownership of a 45th anniversary (Custom Shop, 45 made) that arrived with pup, which I like a lot.

I modded my limited edition 2002?/4? Fender Blue Flower Pbass (though it is not as costly a bass as a lot of other limited editions):
1. put a '61 reissue Pbass pup in it. The split pup kind. Sounded much better after that. I would like to put a Bisonic on it because I think it will look better and also sound better. And the Bisonic pole piece height is easier to adjust than a split Pbass pup.
2. Hipshot Ultralight tuners
3. Replaced maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard Jazz bass neck. Big improvement and easier to get around the fingerboard.
4. Updated the guts with CTS pots and a new cap and cloth wiring.
5. Flat top Chrome dome knobs.
6. Shielded the cavity.
7. Removed pick guard.
8. Added rosewood thumb rest I took off my Starfire bass. But with a Bisonic I won't need it cuz the BiSonic pup frame acts as a fantastic thumb rest.

Wow! You really modified that Pbass. Even a new neck. Very cool. Are you enjoying the changes?

I’m also curious. Why did you change the neck? Because of feel? or preference? Frets wear out?
