Yeah he gave some new stuff . One is 10 sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim DS .
The other is Hydromorphone HCL

yes these definitely helping . I took them around 4:30 feel asleep woke up thinking it was morning . It was 12:30 I’m not complaining was back a sleep and woke up around 8 . No pain of tears yet making bathroom runs much better .
These drugs shrunk me up you’d thing I was swimming in the arctic so I had to yank the dang thing to streach it out to get it to point down . Oh the humility.

No shame in using pain relief if needed. It is tough to heal when you're in agony. I've had a couple of occasions where it was necessary (morphine drip with a Valium and Demerol chaser, anyone?). The opioids will bind you up good, so make sure your water and soluble fiber (oatmeal and prunes) intake is good.

I recently switched Pain Clinics - the last place injured my arm after my cortisone injection, long story.

I have been off opioids for 3 years now. The injections had diminishing returns, the last one gave me some relief but only for a couple of weeks. I have been taking Tylenol and a muscle relaxer. And medical marijuana, which I must say is much better than opioids.

Great , Just Great . Now I have a elevated heart rate which was 116 . I said that’s not normal will all this pain plus infection raise it ? No they say what ???? I guess there Docs right ? So Monday stress test . Oh by the way you tested positive for COVID. WHAT ?!

My God is there anything else you can throw at me ? I’m waiting for a big old steel kitchen sink to flying by .

if I survive this I better win the lotto!

Update , day 6 of hospital stay knee and blood infection thankfully getting under control . There going to put a port on me so I treat from home for 6 weeks . Then back for new implant round 25 joint camp . Yaaaaaaay ! Ugh.

Now 2 days back I wake up with a knot on my head that hurts good if you touch it . Next all of a sudden I’m covered in rash’s then my joints swell get sore and lose strength a lot of strength. My stomach has cramps and I’m light headed .

anyway guess it was one the antibiotics they put me on . Well I’m trying to keep faith but man I’m still trying to figure out what evil crap I did to deserve all this !?

every thing tastes and smells like hospital food Which I pretty much refused to eat .
My gosh it’s nasty . It’s especially hard on the back side .
So toast is about all I’ll touch but only when starving oh Cheerios tried that once . Lol

Be sure to follow all instructions given re: keeping that PICC line (and the area where it enters your skin) ultraclean.

Too bad about the hospital food. Last time I was hospitalized, I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality.

A hospital where I had one of my joint replacements had the BEST tuna sandwiches I've ever had!! They sell them in the deli downstairs and Don and I have even driven there a couple of times to pick up sandwiches for dinner!! To a HOSPITAL!! Imagine that?? Take care, Ray. I got the "Rona" too, and I'm starting to get my sense of taste and smell back finally. Cheers to the new year!!!
