Anybody have experience with one of these? Talking about one with the Franz pickup, not the Mickey Mouse. Would like to use it for jazz, but wondering what the neck is like.
I have read elsewhere that some people with smaller hands like the 3/4 scale M-65s for Jazz. Maybe at Jazzguitar.be.
I have also read that some luthier attention to the bridges is often needed to get them to intone well enough for complex chord forms beyond fifth position to sound good. But this is often normal for short scale guitars with fixed bridges and non-adjustable bridge saddles. Nothing special to see here.
Ahh this is good info. I play a lot of chords up the neck so getting intonation right is essential. Always a challenge, but with floating and adjustable bridges you have more options for getting it right on an archtop.
I liked my M-65 so much I needed a short scale solid body, so I got this Supro Super 7 a year later. I particularly wanted a Supro with the PU in the middle position if I couldn't get a dual PU model short scale guitar. Another "student" model.
