One thing to consider about the Orpheum 12's is that they have a short scale. Don't know if that matters to you or not. I have a Custom Shop Hummingbird 12 that has the short scale. I actually like it as the sound is quite mid rangey and has a nice "thump". Think Gordon Lightfoot's B45-12. My guess is that the mahogany Orpheums would have a similar vibe.

That is strange, Neal. Yeah, I remember that interview. It has nothing to do with Orpheums.

I am wondering if the inventory systems of thoman, lamusic, and tundra etc are buggy as they show incredible orpheum stock. It's quite easy to put 100 guitars into your cart too ...

otherwise 12 string, 12 fret, slothead orpheum ... that's just a total dream guitar for sure.

Thomann for instance have only 8 available in inventory (not hundreds):

Yes and I can put 1000 12 strings in the cart and order them for a total of 3598000.00 EUR or 2609122.08 GBP which is a bit above my credit limit and there's a note that "All items in your shopping basket are in stock and can be shipped immediately. "

Oh, now I see what you are talking about. Yes, that is indeed funny! But usually Thoman has only one of each for the expensive guitars, so the sales system there is screwed up. But I also don't want to push the "Proceed to checkout" button...maybe that is when they tell you they only have one? But I assume it is a bit rare that one customer would buy multiple of the same guitar. Unless you talk about a school who needs multiples but of cheaper instruments.
