To be blunt, I think Fallon is a wuss without the balls to take a similar shot at 'Allah'.

Moderators do your thing...

Scratch sends

Hopefully the Mods have already done their thing with this post and that's why I'm replying.

It has become very easy to take any and all shots at Christianity and avoid the "difficult" greasy wheels.

I laughed at Fallon's bit for what it was/is. At the same time I have a lot of respect for Tim Tebow and his beliefs. Over the years how many pro athletes have publicly thanked the Lord?

No worries

I actually was literally asleep until a couple of hours ago.

I finally watched the clip and did so before I finished the rest of the thread.

Personally, I thought it was quite funny but that was in part because I was quite aware of Tim Tebow before.

I understand how some people might believe God was being mocked and I also understand how some people believe the reaction to Fallon's clip involves a double standard with roots in political correctness. And I think we all know that my summary brings us right up to the edge were the next veer puts us in the Land of Politics and Religion. Thank you for your restraint up to this point and let's try and talk about the Guild if there is anything else to say about the clip.

Kudos to you Frono. You got your message across without being, well cross  That is why I spend far too much time on here, because we are an awesome community, kind hearted and respectful. I have seen a lot of growth within this forum recently.
I don't know if I am being too sentimental or not; but it seems that our reactions in how we respond to the difference of opinions have changed with the passing of recent members and/or their close ones.
Just saying

I think most everything that can be said, or needs to be said, has been said.

And that's all I have to say.

I went over the top in emotionally expressing my disdain. My bad...
I thought you expressed your position well and have a perfect right to do so. But not to worry, if you ever saw me play football it would be clear that God also has a sense of humor.

No religious commentary here, but the only thing I've ever heard from Mr. Fallon that made me laugh hard was this line:

"Norah Jones turned 25 years old today . . . her fans turned 50."
