Thanks for the link. Sorry to be a stickler, but I believe that is a F50 maple.

I saw that last night, and it looked to me as though he was actually playing a Guild GSR F30 maple. Thats based on the sound, and size of the guitar. In either caser it makes me wonder why it was not a 12 string, such as how Bowie played the original song.

Not a GSR F30. The guitar in question has neck binding, headstock binding, and block inlays whereas the GSR F30 Maple has none of these. But the GSR F30 does have the G shield inlay at the 12th fret which this guitar does not have.

Geez... makes me wish I had cable TV. I've seen youtube videos of Fallon doing Jim Morrison
and Neil Young... really brilliant stuff, IMO. Impersonation of Bowie not as refined as the
previous two (again, IMO), but funny all the same.

No idea who Tebo is... I assume a football player.

Frosty, I'm not a sports fan, but I believe that Tebow is the current Denver quarterback. Recently became famous for kneeling on the field & praying, as well as for pulling off several last-quarter wins.

...nice guitar, too bad Jimmy Fallon sees fit to mock God as he does, extremely distasteful.

Let's see if we can walk a respectable and reasonable line on this... and keep the mods
cool. This is all opinion now.

To keep a balance, I discerning no mocking of anything other than David Bowie. Nor do I find
anything distasteful, extreme or otherwise.

Guitar playing is seriously pedestrian, however. ;-)

To be correct I believe the mocking is more of Tim Tebow using David Bowie's image and song as a vehicle for the mocking. Fallon has done this before using Jim Morrison and Neil Young. Funny stuff. To be honest, I don't think he's even playing considering how quickly the backing track takes over when he gets off the stool.

It looks like an F50 to me
I'm convinced now that it was an F50. My original staement was that when I watched it live on cable the sound was not F50, so I conluded F30. But as has been pointed out, the music was most likely dubbed in, so the guitar was just a prop.

Easy now fellas.
It's just a comedy skit and everyone's doing a Tebow bit these days.

Laugh a little to keep from crying a lot,

Thank you.

I thought his performance, as far as creativity goes, was great. Could've done without the mocking of God. But hey, who here can cast the first...

Given that God created humor, I'm guessing he appreciates same, hopefully I will get the chance to verify.

I understand your opinions and that it is open season on Christianity without fear of rebuke. I've got a gut feel that if, in his attempt at humor, he replaced 'Jesus' with 'Allah', it would be much more provocative and considered by many to be PI.

To be blunt, I think Fallon is a wuss without the balls to take a similar shot at 'Allah'.
