:p Greetings from Paris, France y'all... Yes, I'm the guy who bought it -- and also bought FWS6's X-500 the same week. Lark Street Music is a great source. Buzzy Levine also sold me a fantastic JS Award that belies everything JS is reported to have said about this model. Thanks for all the learned (and not so learned but enthusiastic) comments. Yes, the guitar is dirty: lots of sweat and tobacco... Some TLC will be in order. I do have a nice little collection, and I do play my guitars. Most of them at least. More news when the guitar is delivered. I personally don't mind a 0 fret. The French luthiers, the Jacobacci bros, offered them as a standard feature on their hightly sought-after, extremely reliable guitars. The local player who custom-ordered this smaller sized B Barnes AcoustiLectric (probably in the late 60es given the humbuckers it came factory equipped with) was the brother of Remo Palmier, a well known Charlie Christian influenced player. Let's pause and think for a minute of how much another Charlie Christian follower, the late great Herb Ellis, brought us. Cheers!

Cool, Elie!!

I want to hear all about it. Say, when you get it, look inside and tell me what the shape is, of the bar that the pickups are attached to; round, square, rectangular. I want to know!!

Hello Elie,

Congratulations! Really interesting guitar!
This guitar was briefly mentioned during my interviews with Carlo Greco but I didn't get enough accurate information to mention it in the book. Most of the features date this guitar to approx. 1970, but it is possible that it was made slightly earlier and that the HB-1 humbuckers were mounted at a later stage. Since the early HB-1s were often dated on the bottom, you might be able to figure out a little more when you get the guitar. Manufacturing codes on the pots may help as well.

Would love to get a little more info on this one!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Of course, I will share more details when the guitar gets in. More pictures will follow eventually. Hans, let me know if you happen to be in Paris - perhaps we can meet so you can get a closer look at that guitar.
Cheers!
