It is a hot-mess mod if that's a wood screw. Drywall screw would have qualified, too.

That's a shame, (and a drunk person with a hacksaw), but in the grand scheme of things, there are far worse.

Had they only known that the mod caused depletion in value of that guitar alone could have gotten them the telecaster they always really wanted!

I wonder why someone would do that to the headstock. I don't know; is that the only mod going on there? There seems to be an additional sticker on the headstock; can't read whether it says "custom body" or "custom shop". I would imagine that the actual "Fender Jaguar" printed stuff had to be moved to slice off the treble side of the headstock, so do you think this might be a factory job?

That's a standard Fender decal, though it looks like all were relocated (they're waterslide decals over the finish)

Copy that, Rocky. Thanks for the picture. And, yes, the relocation of the sticker(s) makes me wonder a bit about who cut this thing up.
