Selling my pre-war Martin! Fixed it myself! Hope it doesn’t detract from its value though….

Looks like the treble side wood screw is trying to escape that horror!

See now that guitar is not even code compliant. The faucet has to turn “away” from the electrical box..thats a fire hazard
PreavherBob,
Not to worry.
The fauce isn't being used to control liquid flow.
Rather, it appears to be a convenient way to adjust the neck tension rod.

I don't know if that is what I'd call a hot mess mod.
Just a little, clean hole. Yes, not very nice to do on a vintage instrument. But doesn't mess up anything functionally. Minimal cosmetic disturbance.
Maybe a cigarette holder so he didn't burn the headstock?

Spotted this one on Reverb. Hmmmm . . . how can I hang this on the wall?

Oh, of course! Here's a good idea!

Such a shame. An otherwise very well maintained Capri. 😖
Now that’s just about a .22 caliber hole, it might have taken a hit. In the 80’s we played a club on our east coast run, in Murfreesboro NC. They actually had chicken wire separating the stage from the floor. Rowdy town on weekends. Fights were common place at several of our stops.

FYI, that's definitely not a bullet hole. As mentioned earlier, looks like someone drilled that out to hang the guitar on a nail.
