You're welcome Joe; unfortunately hurricanes are a zero-sum game ... if you don't get hammered, somebody else will :( .

Dr. Izza Plumber can talk about the reliability of forecasting. In 2004, Hurricane Charley was headed north up Florida's gulf coast threatening Tampa when ... like an LTG thread ... it abruptly veered east/inland hitting Port Charlotte (his environs), the sweet little town of Arcadia, and later Orlando.

H. Charley tells us that things will be fine unless they aren't.

Oh they're temperamental all right!
John, didn't we get one in 04 or 05 that hit us, went away, made a 360 turn, and hit us again?.... :?

There was a reason why they used to name 'em all after women. (But cringing at my own gender stereotyping humor)

Frances and Jeanne came from the SE ... Wilma came from the SW ... one shot each but I think there was a tropical storm that came and went and came back again ... I only remember the ones that force me to shutter the house ... knocking on wood for this year!

Love seeing them stay away from our coast!
Hopefully won't be too bad by the time (and if) it brushes the North East.....
I agree, but Cap's map shows Earl squatting right over all my family at 2PM Friday!

Fortunately, we're a bit south of Charley's path; still made a mess, but they got MUCH worse.

Friend's son lives in Halifax...and they're in New Brunswick...

Friends in Maine as well...

Hope everyone's got some emergency supplies.

Hope even more the storm misses everyone.
