Sale to AWagner has been concluded, all. My guitar now joins his expansive (and rather unique) stable of Guilds. She will be in very good company there, I know.
Thanks to ALL of you who helped me over the years identify my guitar. When I joined this forum in 2007, I had no idea *what* she was. I look forward to her continuing story on this forum.
Cheers,
Barbara

Hey, guess what? Chris and I took a luthier's mirror and looked (for the first time) for any kind of mark or date. Stamped on the underside of the top is the letter G, followed by DEC (for December), and then handwritten in a kind of curlicue script, reminiscent of 19th-century Italian, are the numerals 69. So obviously December 1969... the question is, does the "G" stand for Guild or Greco?????

Almost certainly, that guitar was adorned by the late Carlo Greco, Barbara. Congrats on the sale. I'll go ahead and close the thread.

My best wishes. -- C
