I can tell right away that this thread might be one that I just sit back and enjoy. You folks are posting some beautiful headstocks, and I'd have to do some shopping before I can contribute in a like manner.

I know, I know, a headstock is a headstock, but the ones I've seen so far are just plain sweet. Works of art, they are. Treem, yours is a beauty, but I'll bet you knew that.

I'll have to see what I can dig up.

That Hoboken is a jewel Chaz. So is that 69 F512 CWood8656. They're both pristine after all these years.

After looking at this thread, I can see my burst F65ce TRC is upside down.

That's quite the trio, Walter, and from the 60s no less!
Makes me think of other trios from the 60s, but I promise not to veer into that right here....no hijacking allowed!

Cheers,
Joe

I like those 60's headstocks a lot! I like the little dip at the top.

BTW Krysh, I played a couple of your songs this a.m.
That is some really fine bass playing. I played Vincent's Waltz and
Crossroads Jam.

Your trio is super.

I love those older-style headstocks too, I guess most Guild aficionados would call them "50's" rather than 60's, but they did last into '63 from what I've seen.

D66, wider than the narrower pegheads, not as wide as the full width ones...

Previously owned D60 headstock, narrower that the D66.

These pix are from a previous thread where we were comparing the different shaped "Guild Crowns".

(Thought I'd throw them in here just to get "in the game"!)
